Terms of Service

By using this app

You agree to these terms. If you disagree with any part, please do not use Bondi. We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the bottom tells you when, and we'll let you know about material changes.

Age requirement

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to use Bondi. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement, and we may close accounts that don't.

Not professional advice

AI companions are for entertainment and general conversation only. They are not qualified therapists, doctors, lawyers, or financial advisors. Never rely on AI responses for medical, legal, or financial decisions.

AI-generated content

Responses are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Bondi does not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of any AI-generated content.

Simulated personality

AI companions simulate personality traits and emotions. They are not sentient, do not have real feelings, and do not form genuine relationships.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bondi to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content, attempt to bypass safety measures, or misrepresent AI-generated content as human.

Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Content ownership

You retain ownership of content you create. AI-generated responses are provided under a limited licence for personal use. Bondi branding and code remain our property.

Service provided as-is

Bondi is provided without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated content.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — see the Suspension and Deletion sections below for what each action means for your access and data.

Optional subscription

Bondi is free to use. Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks extra companions and features. On the web you pay through Stripe; in the iOS app through Apple's App Store. The price and billing period (monthly or yearly) are shown in your currency before you confirm. A free trial may be offered; when it ends, the subscription renews automatically at the shown price until you cancel.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time: web subscriptions from Settings → Manage plan, App Store subscriptions from your Apple ID subscription settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for and are not charged again. Deleting your account cancels a web subscription but not an App Store one — cancel that with Apple first.

Refunds and price changes

Purchases made through the App Store are refunded by Apple under its rules — request them from Apple. For web purchases, contact support@bondi.life and we'll look at your case; where consumer law gives you a right to a refund or to withdraw, it applies. If we change Pro's price, we'll tell you in advance so you can cancel before it takes effect.

What suspension means

We may suspend your account if you breach these Terms, abuse the service, or compromise the safety of other users. While suspended, you cannot sign in or use the chat, games, or activities, and your active sessions on every device are revoked immediately. You can contact support@bondi.life to appeal.

Lifting a suspension

If a suspension is reviewed and reversed, your account, conversations, and data are restored exactly as they were — nothing is lost during the suspension.

Deleting your account

Delete your account from Settings at any time (we may also delete it for cause). The account is disabled immediately and your sessions on every device are revoked. For 30 days you can sign back in to restore it. After 30 days the account and everything in it — conversations, memories, journal, activity data and uploads — are permanently deleted.

After the 30 days

Nothing that identifies you remains. Limited technical logs that no longer link to your name or email are kept for up to 180 days, and payment records stay with Stripe or Apple as their rules require — see the Privacy Policy for details. Email privacy@bondi.life to have your data purged before the 30 days are up.

Admin actions are logged

When a staff member suspends or deletes an account, we record who took the action, when, and an optional reason in an internal audit log. The log exists for accountability and is reviewed if you appeal a suspension or deletion.
